Training Your
Staff for the Front-Line
Front-line staff in the wine
industry are faced with a difficult job. Customers are increasingly
knowledgeable about wine and many come to the winery, wine shop or restaurant
with an international perspective. In spite of internal training efforts, staff
often feel ill-prepared and do not know how to handle specific situations or
answer specific questions. Worst of all, staff feel over confident and make
incorrect assumptions, making your business seem unprofessional. It is essential
that your staff project the correct image for your
business.
The Wine Plus+ Front-Line Training Program
To
fulfill the needs of BC wineries, restaurants and wine shops, Wine Plus+ has
developed a unique course to help staff provide the highest level of customer
service. Designed around the commonly encountered questions and situations dealt
with by front-line staff, Front-Line Training will give your staff the
confidence to do their job effectively.
Front-Line Training is not just a
typical wine course offering textbook basics on winemaking, grape growing and
tasting, but a program designed specifically around the situation faced on the
job. The focus is on the frequently asked questions that come directly from
customers mouths, the specific awkward and difficult situations faced on the job
and the techniques to project the desired image whilst maintaining a sales
focus.
