Welcome to Wine Plus+, Okanagan's wine school and consulting company. Wine Plus+ is owned and operated by Rhys Pender MW with the goal to provide outstanding and unpretentious educational and consulting services to the wine industry and wine lovers.

Wine Plus+ is the only locally based company offering the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSETŽ) to the Okanagan with courses in Kelowna and Penticton. See Wine School and Register for details.

New Judging Positions for Rhys Pender MW (Jan 2011)
Rhys Pender will now be judging at two new prestigious competitions - the Decanter World Wine Awards in London and the Dallas Morning News and TexSom Wine Competition with numerous Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers.

Rhys Pender MW wins Taransaud Award at Master of Wine Ceremony (Nov 2010)
Wine Plus+ owner Rhys Pender MW was thrilled to be awarded the Taransaud Award at the MW seminar in November for an outstanding performance on the Production of Wine Paper.

Wine Plus+ Links with UBC Okanagan (Aug 2010)
Starting Fall 2010 Wine Plus+ will now be offering the WSET courses in conjunction with UBC Okanagan.

Take the WSET Foundation Certificate as part of the New UBC Okanagan Wine School (Apr 09)
Wine Plus+ will be working with UBC Okanagan this summer to offer the WSET Foundation Certificate as part of the UBC Okanagan Wine School. This program incorporates the WSET Foundation qualification into a fun-packed 5 day experience of Okanagan food and wine. Dates August 10-14, 2009. Click here for more details.

Wine Plus+ to Coordinate New Feast of Fields Okanagan Event (Mar 09)

Rhys Pender Named One of Western Canada's "Top 40 Foodies (Under Forty)" (Oct 08)
Wine Plus+ owner Rhys Pender was recently named by Western Living Magazine as one of Western Canada's Top 40 Foodies under the age of forty. Who would of thought a life spent enjoying yourself eating and drinking could win accolades!

MW Practical Pass for Owner Rhys Pender (Sep 08)
Wine Plus+ owner Rhys Pender has just received news that he was one of just nine people in the world to achieve a pass in the Master of Wine (MW) practical exam in 2008. Rhys has now completed both the Theory and Practical portions of the MW qualification and is now moving on to the final step, the Dissertation.
